Pen Singam (English: Lioness) is a 2010 Tamil film directed by Bali Srirangam. The film, based on M. Karunanidhi's novel Surulimalai,[1] stars Meera Jasmine and Telugu actor Uday Kiran in lead roles, whilst Richard, Vivek, Rohini and Radha Ravi amongst others play supporting roles; Rambha, and J. K. Rithesh. The film released on June 3, 2010, coinciding with Karunanidhi's 87th birthday.

In this film, Meera Jasmine dons the role of an IPS officer for the first time in her career.[2] The film is about women's fight for justice. Uday Kiran plays the male lead role in the film.[3].
